Authentic French Cuisine in Macau since 2004

Setting: Le Bistrot is a French restaurant that blends classic European charm, with cosy and elegant surroundings. Soft candlelight and French music creates a wonderfully old-fashioned ambience.

The food is authentic French cuisine, with a hint of European influence. Fresh ingredients are flown directly from Paris to Macau weekly. For a real culinlary treat, try the eight-course tasting menu. To start, the Chef's freshly made cured and smoked salmon is perfectly complimented by zesty fresh tartar creating a simple but indulgent dish and the poached oysters smothered in bacon and sour cream are wonderfully rich. The classic foie gras with smoked duck breast is bursting with smoky, creamy flavour. For the mains, the signature dish of veal sweetbreads with lobster morels is a tender, succulent experience, while the fresh tuna and scallops served with a Mediterranean vegetable tart, is seared to perfection. For desert, the soup of red fruits with youghurt and Champagne sorbet, is served with a splash of Moet and Chandon and the mint cream compote of red fruits comes saturated in a cocoa emulsion and flakes of 18 carat gold. Both are truly decadent ways to round of a near perfect meal. One of the best French restaurants in town.

Wine: A boutique selection of prestigious French wines, accompanied by Old World Reds and Whites from Portugal and Italy.

Service: Friendly, efficient and intuitive staff, serve with panache. The Manager is very attentive and accomodating and chef Durand makes personal visits.
